Naomi Myrick, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a highly experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience in private practice. She currently practices autonomously in the state of Virginia, where she operates two successful offices. As the CEO and practice owner of Cardinal Care Psychiatric Services, founded in 2020, Naomi has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to improving access to high-quality mental health care.

Naomi provides comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescents (ages 16 and older), adults, and geriatric patients, treating individuals across a broad diagnostic spectrum with a holistic, patient-centered approach. Her clinical and research interests include Adult ADHD, with a particular focus on women, girls, and underserved populations. She is deeply committed to advancing health equity in behavioral health, especially for rural and marginalized communities.

Naomi is passionate about education and mentorship and has precepted over 20 PMHNP students. In recognition of her dedication to training the next generation of nurse practitioners, she received the Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Preceptor Award in 2023 from the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

In addition to her clinical work, Naomi is the founder and instructor of Cardinal Academy, an innovative online education platform for psychiatric nurse practitioners. The academy offers essential training in areas such as billing and coding, pediatric psychiatry, and Adult ADHD, reflecting Naomi’s dedication to professional development and lifelong learning.

Naomi is actively involved in professional leadership and advocacy. She serves on the Membership Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force for the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD) and is a member of the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance (CAADRA), the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association. She also serves on the Mental Health Advisory Board for Tebra Technologies.
